off the rails Media application

Thank you for your interest in covering Off The Rails at USAIR. We value strong media presence and storytelling. If selected, you’ll have full-course access throughout the weekend — no designated shooting zones — which means freedom, responsibility, and awareness go hand in hand.

Appropriate Attire

  • Closed-toe shoes required

  • No sandals, Crocs, or leisure footwear

  • Reflective safety vest required (please bring your own)

Drivers’ & Media Meeting

Each day begins with a Drivers’ Meeting, where we review safety protocols, course layouts, and expectations. Because the entire track is open to shooting, this information is critical for media members. Our Media Meeting will immediately follow the Drivers’ Meeting. Attendance is required to maintain credentials.

House Rules

All events operate under USAIR guidelines and venue safety standards. Media are expected to review and understand our rulebook prior to the event. Failure to follow event rules may result in removal of credentials.

Safety

Cars may be traveling in multiple directions depending on layout and tandem positioning. If you have not shot with us before, we strongly recommend bringing a spotter to help monitor surroundings. If you plan to bring a spotter, please indicate that in your application. Your safety — and the safety of drivers — is the priority.

Preparation

Be prepared for all conditions. Recommended items include extra batteries, water, sun protection, rain gear, and extra layers. Plan for a long day at the track.

Media File Access

As part of your credential approval, we ask that you provide a Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar file-sharing link following the event that allows USAIR access to a curated selection of your media. These assets may be used by USAIR for promotional purposes, social media, recap content, and future event marketing (with proper credit given).

By applying, you acknowledge and agree to provide access to event coverage for venue use.

Applications close Monday, April 27. All applicants will be notified of their acceptance status no later than Friday, May 1.
